Jake Drewry’s Story

On this date 8 years ago Jacob Drewry received his new lungs. With these new lungs he was able to move to his beloved Alaska. Jake and Mary gave birth to a beautiful little girl, Gwendolyn. It was a very difficult battle to get to this happy place for him. He spend the majority of his life breathing through what has been described as a “straw”.

Sadly Jake is no longer with us. He passed away in 2018. But I will always remember how happy they were to move to Alaska and start their family. Without his new lungs he would not have been able to live his dream.

We started a non profit organization CF Northwest (Return to Life) to help Jake and others like him. Cost for medications alone is staggering.
